Carefree Systems has successfully completed a splash pad project at McCollum Park in Downers Grove. The project features 28 spray elements distributed across three concrete splash pads. The water system for the splash pad is supported by a 3,000-gallon concrete holding tank, which includes a 5-horsepower feature pump, a 1-horsepower filter pump, a chlorinator, an ultraviolet light system, and a water heater. Additionally, a level transducer-controlled domestic water line ensures the holding tank is refilled during low water levels.
Elk Grove Technology Park in Elk Grove Village, IL is a high-scale industrial park located near O'Hare International Airport. Its goal is to provide technology and innovation close to the Chicagoland suburbs. The irrigation system is a large Watertronics and baseline 2 wire system. It’s a domestic water source with 6’’ backflow preventer and 2- 15 hp Watertronics booster pumps. Mainline consist of 4 and 6 inch in size and has over 5,000 Hunter sprinkler heads. Design by FRS.
Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Columbarium section 8 expansion. A new section of the Abraham Lincoln Cemetery was added with a new design provided by the Army Corp of Engineers. Carefree added on to the existing Rain Bird irrigation 2 wire system and installed Rain Bird 8005 rotor heads, Rain Bird prs spray heads, new mainline with ductile iron fittings, and Rain Bird PEBSB valves. Will County Courthouse in Joliet, IL is a new state of the art building right next door to the original courthouse. Carefree installed a Rain Bird Drip Line System on the ground level and a Rain Bird Pressure Regulated Spray Irrigation for the 3rd and 5th floor. Will County Courthouse is a Watertronics Sky Harvester system with Progressive Pumps Ozone generator to purify the incoming rain water before it is used for irrigation. A complex system that required two pumps inside a 17 ft. wet well that is attached to an underground detention system. The ozone generator pumps rain water into its chambers where it is mix with ozone (O3). The ozone water is then pumped back into the detention system to remove any harmful bacteria and viruses. Wanda Vista hotels is a 101 story building downtown Chicago. Carefree Irrigation installed an Hunter drip line system on the ground level planters, 3rd level terrace, 10th level terrace, 11th floor terrace, 47th floor terrace, and 71st terrace. This system runs off a rain harvest system and uses the best of Hunter Products. Design by FRS.
